Every day, he worshipped his Shalagrama Shila with only Ganges water and Tulasi leaves, while loudly praying for the Supreme Lord to descend and deliver the fallen souls.

Although overwhelmed with maternal affection, Mother Saci did not ask her son to return home. Instead, she requested Him to reside in Jagannath Puri so devotees from Bengal could regularly visit Him.

When Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu prepared to leave Kalna, Gauridasa Pandita could not bear the thought of separation.

He prayed with tears:

"Please never leave me."

According to the Gaudiya tradition recorded in devotional literature, Mahaprabhu and Nityananda mercifully manifested as Their Deity forms and assured Gauridasa Pandita that They would remain with him forever. The Deities worshipped there today are revered by devotees as fully representing the Lord's eternal presence.
